  • 2 oz dry gin
  • 1 oz vermouth
  • 1/4 oz cherry liqueur 
  • Angostura bitters 
  1. Stir with ice 
  2. Strain into chilled glass
  3. Garnish with orange zeset twist and (optionally) cherry

  • 3/4 oz orange amaro
  • 2 oz sparkling white wine
  • 1/2 oz elderberry gin liquor 
  1. Add amaro to glass
  2. Pour in wine
  3. Use spoon to float liquor on top

PBT Cocktail Book, originally in The Mixicologist by CF Lawlor in 1895,  French for "jewel," some believe the colors of the three primary ingredients represent precious stones: diamonds, rubies, and emeralds.  
  • 1 oz London Dry gin
  • 1 oz sweet vermouth
  • 1 oz green chartreuse 
  • orange bitters
  1. Stir all ingredients with ice
  2. Strain into chilled coupe glass
  3. Garnish with cherry and lemon twist

I'm Just Here for the Drinks by Sother Teague, page 37.  I misread the recipe to use Gin instead of Old Duff Genever.  Book suggestion:  Make it royal by substituting sparkling wine for the seltzer.
  • 4 dashes grapefruit bitters
  • 1 oz dry gin
  • 1 oz Cocchi vermouth​
  • 1 oz Aperol
  • seltzer
  • grapefruit peel

  1. Combine all ingredients except seltzer in 10 oz Collins glass
  2. Add ice, stirring gently to cool
  3. Top with seltzer
  4. Garnish with grapefruit twist

PDT Cocktail Book, pg 162.  I don't think it's supposed to be this color so assuming I didn't measure something correctly.
  • 3/4 oz London dry gin
  • 3/4 oz cherry liqueur

  1. Shake all ingredients with ice
  2. Strain into chilled coupe
